About Faithful Friends Farm

We are a small family farm specializing in pastured and humanely raised animals. Respectfully using the land to ensure healthy soil and in turn healthy animals.

familyport2021

Back in 2012 my family decided to take charge and responsibility of our health. My husband being recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, we knew we needed to make some serious changes. We had two very young children at the time and my husband’s health was our biggest priority. I was no stranger to raising livestock having grown up on a little farm, but I needed to learn a lot. I had a little garden and I grew vegetables and herbs that I incorporated into our diets, but I really wanted to raise our own proteins.

We started out with a small flock of laying hens to just supply eggs for ourselves. They laid so well that I decided to get licensed and sell the extra eggs. As people grew to love our products and we grew to love our customers we wanted to offer more products that would be a healthy and conscience alternative to store bought meats and proteins.

We also wanted to help our community take charge of their health as well. So in 2014 we did just that, we dove head first into our new endeavor. We bought our own processing equipment, got our permits and licenses and learned how to process the poultry and other animals we raised. In 2020 we outgrew our little farm in Baltimore county MD. and purchased a larger farm in Carroll County MD.  We now offer a much broader variety of environmentally and health conscience products.

FRESH * LOCAL * HUMANE * SUSTAINABLE

What's the difference?

How we raise our pastured animals

24/7 access to fresh air and fresh grass

Our pastured animals have the freedom to stay in or go out when they please.  Open houses allow them to go in when shelter as needed at night, or in bad weather. It also allows them to graze and forage on fresh pasture whenever they like. Our young poultry stay in movable houses on pasture, moved daily until old enough to withstand unfavorable weather.  Our electric fencing and two livestock guardian dogs ensure our animals are safe from wild predators..

Raised and processed on farm

We raise our animals the majority of their lives. most being only hours old when purchased. This way it ensures a healthy and happy life from beginning to end. We give them the highest quality of life possible.  We also process our own animals, this reduces much stress.  They know us and are handled by us everyday and therefore won’t have the added stress of being handled by strangers and  transported off farm for processing.

Diet supplemented with NON-GMO grains

Not only do our animals have access to fescue, clover, and insects, we purchase what we think is the best GMO free feed straight from the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
